Class Musicians Perform Chamber Music at the Home of Jane and Clark

Duxbury , Mass. – (March 28, 2008) – Warm up to the sounds of summer at the Duxbury Music Festival Sneak Preview Concert and reception on Sunday, April 13, at 4 pm, at the new home of Jane and Clark Hinkley in Duxbury. Celebrated South Shore Conservatory pianist, Stephen Deitz, mezzo- soprano, Beth MacLeod, and violist, Philip Rush, will perform with nationally acclaimed bass, George Cordes of the Metropolitan Opera, to showcase the Duxbury Music Festival’s world class faculty. Selections will include
Some Enchanted Evening from South Pacific; Banquo’s Aria from Verdi’s Macbeth, the duet
La Ci Darem La Mano from Mozart’s Don Giovanni, and
Zwei Gesange, Op. 91 by Johannes Brahms for voice, piano and viola. This will be a rare opportunity to experience chamber music in an intimate and inviting setting. Tickets are $50 per person and benefit the Duxbury Music Festival. Seating is limited. Music lovers are encouraged to purchase tickets early.
South Shore Conservatory’s Third Annual Duxbury Music Festival, July 11-26, is a two-week intensive program for the study and performance of solo and chamber repertoire for piano and voice for undergraduate and post-graduate students and adult professionals. The Festival takes place at the Conservatory’s Ellison Center for the Arts, with additional performances at the Performing Arts Center, First Parish Church, Millennium Town Green and a private home.
