The Festival's Opening Concert will celebrate the seasons, the music of two of America's pre-eiminent minimalist composers and one of the great Russian chamber works of the 20th Century.  "Summer" and "Fall" of Vivaldi's The Four Seasons, John Adams' Shaker Loops, Steve Reich's Music for Pieces of Wood, and Dmitri Shostakovich's Piano Quintet in G Minor, Op. 57 are the musical fare.  

Featuring founding faculty, Oxana Yablonskaya and Dmitry Yablonsky along with DMF 2014 concerto competition winner, Caroline Cox and former Jerusalem Symphony Orchestra Concertmaster, Janna Gandelman.

From Broadway to Bebop, the Duxbury Music Festival celebrates jazz-influenced music by American, French, and Russian composers.  Bernstein's West Side Story, Bill Dobbins' Sonata for Saxophone and Piano, Claude Bolling's Suite for Violin and Jazz Piano Trio, and Nicolai Kapustin's "Paraphrase on Dizzy Gillespie's Manteca" are the Festival's offerings.
